Product Update | SmartPad2 Ongoing Safety and Quality Review
Share
This serves as an update on the SmartPad2 safety and performance review that began earlier this month.
Our engineering and quality teams continue to conduct additional internal validation to confirm performance consistency across all units. While this process continues, we ask all customers to please continue pausing use of the SmartPad2 until further notice.
As a reminder, the SmartPad2 successfully passed all required NRTL (Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory) safety testing and certification, confirming that it meets rigorous international standards for electrical safety, fire resistance, and mechanical reliability.

This certification demonstrates that the SmartPad2 already complies with all mandated safety standards. However, at XOTHRM, we hold ourselves to a higher internal threshold. Out of an abundance of care, we’re performing additional testing beyond the regulatory requirements to ensure every SmartPad2 unit performs to the highest level of consistency, precision, and reliability.
This extra diligence is not a response to a certification issue — it’s a reflection of our philosophy: meeting standards isn’t enough; exceeding them is what defines us.
We’ll share another update as soon as internal testing concludes and normal use can safely resume.
