XOTHRM® Expands Approved SmartPad® Cleaning and Disinfection Options

Newly approved products give customers greater flexibility when cleaning SmartPad products in clinical, athletic, workplace, and wellness environments.

BOISE, Idaho — July 30, 2026 — XOTHRM® today announced the expansion of its approved cleaning and disinfection options for the SmartPad® product line following additional compatibility testing.

In addition to previously approved cleaning methods, customers may now use Briotech® hypochlorous acid and Benefect® Decon 30® botanical disinfectant when cleaning their SmartPad products.

The complete list of approved cleaning methods now includes:

• Mild soap and water
• Amazon® Disinfecting Wipes
• Clorox® Disinfecting Wipes
• Lysol® Disinfecting Wipes
• Briotech® hypochlorous acid [New]
• Benefect® Decon 30® botanical disinfectant [New]

The expanded options provide customers with greater flexibility while helping preserve the appearance, performance, and long-term durability of SmartPad products. This is particularly important in clinical, athletic, workplace, and other high-frequency environments where products may be cleaned multiple times each day.

When cleaning a SmartPad, users should power off the device, follow the cleaning product manufacturer’s instructions, and use only enough cleaner to lightly wet the surface. The SmartPad should never be soaked or submerged and must be allowed to air dry completely before use or storage.

Customers should avoid using cleaning products outside the approved list because they have not been evaluated for compatibility with SmartPad materials. Unapproved products may affect the device’s appearance, performance, or long-term durability, and resulting damage may not be covered under warranty.

XOTHRM® will continue evaluating additional cleaning and disinfection products. Its approved cleaning list will be updated as additional products are tested and confirmed to be compatible with SmartPad materials and performance requirements.
